Made a trip down to Little Part 1 Café for our monthly café hopping meet-ups! It's located at 15 Jasmine Road, right next to Thomson Plaza :) Haven't been to this area in such a looong while! Since secondary school days wow.
We somehow ended up going through the backdoor, which had a barrier in front of it. Had to climb over/below/through it to get in, a bit tak glam lol. The owner looked kinda shocked when we walked in from behind like it's humanely impossible or something.
This! - is the humanely possible to enter front entrance. Some movie title sign going on here. It's along a stretch of shophouses. The place was pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon, which is actually nice because we're away from the crowd for once. I don't know about night time though, since they serve alcohol too.
The owners made the place look cosy and homely, filled with lots of random collections and vintage stuff.
A photo framed wall with pictures taken from their overseas trips! Loved this. Made me feel inspired to do one too~ I just really like the personal touch to it :)
Bookshelves filled with vintage and travel books. On the top sits many old collectable items too! Love their collection of vintage cameras <3
To be honest, their food was pretty so-so. They don't serve the usual brunch kind of food so we ended up ordering sides to share instead.
Hot chocolate with big fluffy melty marshmallows!
Buffalo wings. A tad too sourish, maybe too much tabasco sauce haha. Guess people who love Tabasco will love this! Other than that, it was not too bad.
The never ending curry fries. We kept eating this but it didn't seem to reduce lol!
The Shepherd's Pie was nice. This was my favorite dish among the rest! Had a nice and warm home cooked taste to it. Really tasty too! :)
Walnut cheesecake. Nothing too fantastic about this. Was a little to sweet for our liking and the crust wasn't orgasmic enough hahaha. I'm a huuuuuuge fan of cheesecake by the way!
My primary school friends, Tina and Joceyln :) Really glad we re-united about 2 years back and have been meeting up monthly for some good café hunting.
It's nice to just sit down with some good food and drinks while exchanging happenings in our lives - although at this stage we're mostly ranting about how we're getting older and don't wish to be stuck in our mundane jobs and doing the same routine everyday.
All 3 of us really want to do something we love for a change, maybe even setting up our own café. Hopefully this dream will become a reality someday :) All it takes now is to take that daring step forward!
